Calling all string players! The ASU School of Music is excited to announce the creation of the ASU Philharmonia, a new full orchestra designed as a space for musicians across the entire ASU system to engage in a meaningful orchestral experience. Repertoire planned for this inaugural season includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Stravinsky’s Berceuse and Finale From Firebird Suite, and Sibelius’ Finlandia. We also have composer Christopher Norby writing a brand new piece for us!

Rehearsals for the ASU Phil start this fall and are Tues and Thurs from 4:30-5:45 pm. We will perform two concerts each semester. The aim of the group is to build community through music. Interested? Email Dr. Caslor at [email protected] for more info.
